Who are we?
Uniquely A Place Like Home is a London based company who specialise in short term lets. With over sixteen years experience we are experts at catering for all your needs.
Where would I be staying?
Our homes are centrally located in the popular areas of Belgravia SW1, Knightsbridge SW3, South Kensington SW7, Chelsea SW3, and Kensington W8 and Holland Park W11. Most of our properties are owners' own homes with all the warmth, detail and amenities of a real home. All close to the “tube”, shops and local amenities.
How much does it cost?
Bookings are taken for one week minimum (unless otherwise stated), thereafter payable on a pro rata basis. Prices are specific to the property selected. In general, good savings can be made over hotel bookings.
What's included?
Prices include gas, electricity, linens and taxes together with a clean out charge. Telephones are metered separately. Damage deposits are held against breakage’s etc. and are refunded approximately four weeks after the end of each stay. Interim cleaning if desired can be arranged.
What other “extra” services do you provide?
Maid service (depending on the property, this may be included in the price). Babysitting, cars with drivers, private sight seeing tours, transfers to and from airports, fax/answer machines, cot and highchair hire.
What do I do next?
Let us know the dates of your trip, how many people are in your party, how many bedrooms you will need and if anybody is under 12 years old. You may find it easier to fill in the enquiry form provided. We will respond immediately, to let you know if the properties you have selected are available or to suggest alternatives for those dates. Not all properties are included on the list shown here.
How do I book?
Easy... Email or telephone us and once we have confirmed your choice we will email you an invoice and booking form. Payments can be made by credit card, telegraphic transfer or USD to our U.S. account.
How do I pay?
50% of the rental amount is required as a non-refundable deposit at the time of booking a property, the balance due 60 days before arrival. If arriving within the 60 day period, full payment is required. You will receive an invoice, booking form and payment details which should be completed and returned within 7 days of receipt to secure a property. The damage deposit amount varies according to the size of the property and the length of your stay.
What happens when I arrive?
One of our representatives will meet you between the hours of 8am - 4.30pm (weekdays) and 9am - 4.30pm (weekends), show you around and hand you the keys. Outside of these hours our car transfer service is required so that the drivers can provide you with a key. Entry time is from 12 noon. Properties may be available earlier by special request.
Departures
One of our representatives will meet you at the property and collect the keys. Check out time is 10.30am. Extensions on this time maybe available by special request only. If the later departure time is available this may incur a small charge.
